With 60 competent signalling engineers working out of our 3 regional offices, TICS offers a complete signal service for the rail industry operating on a national basis. Our 14 mobile teams can be available at short notice on a 7 days a week 24 hours a day basis. Experienced in delivering simple short term assignments covering repositioning of a signal, through to long term remodelling systems for a station, we provide either a "one-stop shop" approach or a specific service support to meet clients needs.
Providing support at the various stages of a rail signalling project, TICS typically help with Grip 4 stages of signal projects where we can take a selection of options and develop the engineering plans and complete the feasibility studies. From this we will develop the outline requirements of a signalling scheme. We work with clients to ensure that all group 4 deliverables are passed for approval. Once passed, we now have the capability through our signalling partners to manage all stages of the entire process from group 4 to group 8.
Alternatively, we can work as partners, providing a seamless integration of any aspect of a railway signalling project. We aim to deliver a flexible approach that provides the level of value engineering clients expect covering:
- Signal strategy
- Signalling design
- Procurement of signal equipment
- Signalling installation
- Testing and commissioning of signal equipment and systems
- Competence assurance services for signalling tasks
With a combined experience in the team of 500 years worth of experience, many staff were trained and developed during the days of British Rail. Standards have been maintained and the company has a commitment to ensuring ongoing levels of competence to enable clients to be assured projects will be delivered on time and within budget, safely.
Using state of the art information technology and discovery rescue techniques we can operate in an entirely remote manner should the need arise. Client documentation is backed up to comply with Network Rail's most recent standards.
All projects are managed by a competent railway signalling project manager who will ensure all documentation is laid out and recorded in a professional manner.
