Lynemouth Power Biomass Facility 2018
Lynemouth Power Station has generated electricity from coal since 1972. The existing Lynemouth Power operated a 420 megawatt coal fired station and has been under development to design a technical solution for a full conversion of the power plant to run on biomass.
The existing method of operation meant trains were sent into the LPL sidings on request one at a time. Our Signalling solution now accommodates the offloading of 4 loaded trains with up to 24 wagons each containing 70 tonnes of biomass, per weekday.
